PLAB (Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board Test) applies to international medical graduates analyzing their capability to practice medicine in the United Kingdom (UK). PLAB is one of the easiest ways to make clear before the GMC (General Medical Council), that the candidate possesses the necessary knowledge and skill to practice in UK.


Qualifications needed for PLAB test

A primary medical qualification for limited registration
The qualifications allowed are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools published by the WHO. All MCI recognized colleges in India are accepted.
A relevant score in IELTS.
About 12 months of post graduate clinical experience

PLAB examination is run approximately every two months. Part I can be taken in the major cities that include Bangalore , Chennai, Hyderabad , Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi whereas Part II can be taken only in UK.
